Farmer's Snack's "clever step" to enhance
internationality and good reputation
Farmer's Snack is a German nut and dried fruit company founded in Munich in 1971 under the original name of Avocado GmbH. In 1990, the firm was rebranded and Farmer's Snack was launched on the domestic market. Since then it has been relocated twice in parallel to its steady growth: its central production site was first moved to Hamburg in 1998 and then again in 2011 to a larger production facility located in Seevetal, its current location.

We are a German company, but our partners are international. For that reason, a global international place is perfect to trade and to present our brand, and that is what the INC gives us.

Aim to be Global: A matter of values and principles

Although proud of its German roots, giving central importance to its national market, Farmer's Snack takes pride in being an international company. Exporting to 30 different countries, internationality is at the centre of the brand's values and principles which is why it realized that joining the INC was a must. "We are a German company, but our partners are international. For that reason, a global international place is perfect to trade and to present our brand, and that is what the INC gives us", says Cornelia Ahrens, Executive Manager at the company. In fact, the number of countries to which Farmer's Snack exports has grown 25% over the past five years.
Being a member of the INC has allowed Farmer's Snack to enhance and consolidate a high reputation among the nut and dried fruit sector. According to Ahrens, being an INC member is "absolutely a sign of reputation". In her opinion, "If you are a well-known and good faced company, it makes absolute sense to join the INC".

If you are a well-known and good faced company, it makes absolute sense to join the INC.

Although their most-frequently used INC member benefit is the INC Pavilion, which allows them to exhibit at major shows like Anuga or Gulfood, Farmer's Snack doesn't miss a single INC Congress either. Cornelia Ahrens comments: "Since we became members two years ago, we have always been there and we plan to continue attending it". As well as valuing the business and networking opportunities that the annual event presents, she also appreciates the personal experience that the Congress results in: "It allows you to meet everybody you know from the industry in a relaxed, yet professional atmosphere. You see each other during the day, in a business environment, and then in evening during the social events, which make for a very friendly environment where you get to know customers and suppliers amongst others."

Being an INC Member makes Farmer's Snack's work "complete"

Taking everything into consideration, undoubtedly the decision to join the INC made by Farmer's Snack two years ago has been a success: "Being part of the INC makes our work complete. It fits into our concept of being international, which is our philosophy at Farmer's Snack. I would definitely say that it was a clever step".
