2nd International Congress on Food and Nutrition

INC participated in the 2nd International Congress on Food and Nutrition, which took place on October 24-26, 2007, in Istanbul, organized by TUBITAK, the Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey. Under the theme “Food for Future”, the main goal of the conference was to explore the most important areas of recent Research & Development and provide accurate and updated scientific information on the discipline of food and nutrition.

Mr. Pino Calcagni, Chairman of the INC Scientific and Government Affairs Committee, was Chairman of the Symposium “Hazelnut: the Nut of Choice for Health” and delivered a presentation on the “Past, Present and Future Aspects of Hazelnut-Worldwide” on October 25th. Mr. Calcagni introduced the INC activities and a review of the hazelnut industry, along with worldwide statistics and technical and scientific issues.
