The members of the Scientific & Government Affairs Committee deal with issues regarding science and research on technical issues such as aflatoxins, ocratoxins, micotoxins, acrylamide, etc. Monitors technical issues related to governmental regulatory agencies, customs, duties, trade barriers, uniform global quality standards, testing procedures, food safety, shipping and transportation. Monitors EU, WHO, UNECE, CODEX, USDA and other government activities affecting the nut and dried fruit industry.
