Poster Nutrition in Every Handful
Inspired by the brochure “Nutrition in Every Handful”, the INC has produced a new poster featuring the nutritional composition in 100 g of nuts and dried fruits (15 products total). The nutrient profiles have been taken from the USDA Nutrient Standard Database for Standard Reference.
In addition to their great taste, all nuts and dried fruits are cholesterol-free and full of important nutrients, including protein, fiber and phytochemicals. They are also a great source of vitamins such as folic acid, niacin, and vitamins E and B-6, and minerals like magnesium, copper, zinc, selenium, phosphorus and potassium. The majority of the fat in tree nuts is unsaturated ("good" fat). As little as one handful of nuts or dried fruit per day can provide nutritional benefits .
