In past congresses, members without confirmed registrations have been able to register at the last minute, although this will not be possible this year.

Attendance at the 2013 Congress is confirmed at record level, with 1,080 participants from 57 countries to date, for a stimulating three-day program to exchange knowledge and ideas in market development, supply chain, consumption, product innovation, food safety, nutrition and research.

Data show a 7 percent increase in consumption for tree nuts in 2011, 7 percent increase in peanuts and 5 percent in dried fruits, which reconfirms the last years rising trend on global consumption. In 2012, total production of tree nuts increased 5.5 percent, 2 percent in peanuts and 13 percent for dried fruits.
